Vending Machines and Break rooms
Many offices like to offer their employees a break room where there are often microwaves, electrical kitchen appliances and vending machines. Make sure appliances are switched off and unplugged when not being used or use a Standby Eliminator. For your vending machine you can buy timers or ask your vending machine technician ways of ensuring the machine is fully turned off at night and not using unnecessary energy when no-one is in the office .
When purchasing a Refrigerator for your office make sure to look at the energy rating label displayed on each machine. A is the highest efficiency rating and the same system applies for most electrical products.

Office Dehumidifiers
For smaller offices you can purchase an office dehumidifier, this machines takes a lot of the moisture out of the air and make rooms far more comfortable, they also considerably reduce the need to have your air conditioning unit on full power and so over time can make a nice saving

Shop windows and Light Signage
For many signs (apart from fire signs) there is not a need to have certain signs lit up. During the last ten years many offices and shop window displays have added dramatically the amount of lit displays. Many signs just don’t simply need to be lit.

Electric Doors
If you need to add a new door or entrance to your office, consider the fact there are many very well designed traditional pull doors available on the market. Electric doors, depending on the building can use a tremendous amount of energy just for when people are entering and leaving the building. If you have an electric door, in most cases by law you need to have a standard traditional next to the electric door. When possible, turn off the electric door and keep the standard door open to invite people into your building without using electricity every time.
